Why Not?
People often ask me why I stay involved in my sorority. I have a simple answer- why not? Why not continue the bonds of sisterhood that I enjoyed during college? Why not challenge myself to take on projects and to learn new skills? Why not meet incredibly strong and bright women from across the country? Why not share experiences with women who are twice my age or half my age? Why not revel in the joy of watching a collegiate sister finally grasp a concept? Why not meet new friends who will take you to places of which you would have neverimagines? Why not have friendships that see one another through successes, failures, laughter, tears, joys, sorrows, births, deaths, marriages, divorces,promotions, firings, sickness, and health? Why not take a day of vacation from work to attend a university disciplinary hearing for your chapter? Why not support a sister who is in an abusive relationship or has an eating disorder ora drinking problem? Why not enjoy the love and joy of shared goals and a commonvision? Why not have your own personal board of directors to which you can turn in any situation and at any moment? Why not hold the hand of a sister as she buries a parent, her husband, or a child? Why not sing to a sister as she dances with her new husband at their wedding? Why not serve as a mentor for younger members? Why not get back more than you can ever imagine possible?

Delta Mu Mock Recruitment
Delta Mu has a special place in my heart so please contact me if you want to help with recruitment. There are lots of things to be done. If you have a few hours we can use you! If you just want to send money we can use you! Anything and everything is greatly appreciated.

It's Work Week and Formal Recruitment time at UT Martin - Delta Mu chapter!
We would love for as many of you as possible to attend the Mock Recruitment on Saturday, August 29 at 11:00am in the University Center at UTM. It would be great if each member had an alum as a "practice partner".
Work Week - Monday, August 24 - Sunday, August 30
Recruitment - Thursday, Sept. 3 Set-up begins
Friday, Sept. 4 - Philanthropy Round
Saturday, Sept. 5 - Skit Round
Sunday, Sept. 6 - Preference
Monday, Sept. 7 (Labor Day) - Bid Day
Thank you all so much for your support..........as you can see, it will be a busy Work Week and an even busier Recruitment!
